    this may be a personal preference but i think a rabbi should be on a higher spiritual level and not too funny. a lot of people choose 'funny, young and cool' rabbis. a wedding is certainly fun, the being under the chuppah is an extremely spiritual, holy experience and i think a certain seriousness needs to be captured with a rabbi that, as IC puts it, has been around the block.
